Take a look into our day to day life here at School
This beautiful and insightful piece of wisdom can help us understand the importance of yoga in life, and more so in adolescence when a child's all-round development -- physical, emotional and social -- begins. Hence, St Marys Central School celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2018 by organizing a special yoga session in which the students performed various 'asanas'. The main aim was to raise awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and yoga among the students. In the present day when students face stress, tension, fear, etc. , simple asanas can help dispel these.
Students were taught various asanas such as Tadasana, Trikonasana, Padahastasana, Kati Chakrasana, Vrikshasana, Shashakasana, Bhujangasana, Ushtrasana, Ardhachakrasana etc.
The Principal Fr Sunil Praveen Pinto said "Yoga is essential for inner and physical growth. It enhances the mental and physical well-being." Hhe also motivated the students to make Yoga an important part of their daily routine to stay fit and healthy.
